Information and Communication Technology (ICT) and innovation are an integral part of school life at Stamford American, and we have a proud tradition of embracing the latest learning technologies to encourage digital and e-learning. Classrooms are set up with interactive whiteboards and Apple televisions. There are also 4 interactive Cognita iLearn environments on our campuses through which students can interact with guest lecturers and teachers around the world. We are also privileged to have an Innovation Center and Makerspace equipped with outstanding learning facilities where students can get hands-on experience with 3D design, robotics, Augmented Reality (AR) and more.
Everyday immersion in technology is supported through a 1:1 iPad Program for children in Kindergarten 2 to Grade 5 , and a 1:1 MacBook Program for Middle and Secondary School students. Our Digital Learning Team ensures that technology is purposefully integrated into the curriculum so as to add value to every student’s learning journey. By encouraging digital literacy at a young age among our students, we hope to expose them to all the benefits of technology.
At the same time, Stamford American has made a firm commitment to help students navigate some of the negative aspects of the online world such as cyberbullying, plagiarism and invasion of privacy. We are a and all our teachers are certified Common Sense Media Educators. We have actively implemented the Common Sense Digital Citizenship program to support our school community in becoming knowledgeable, responsible and safe digital citizens.
