Stamford American is a proud adopter of the award-winning rooted in social–emotional learning (SEL). This learning methodology is directed at improving cooperation, communication and decision-making, with a special focus on preventing bullying. SEL programs have been shown to significantly improve social skills, attitude and behavior, and academic performance.
Second Step modules are a regular part of the Stamford American curriculum for students from Nursery level to Grade 8. By encouraging emotional intelligence at a young age, we hope to create an environment in which all students can feel safe, thrive and become their best selves.
